"Horror fans, stop what you're doing and prepare for a chilling new take on a classic legend! I just watched the trailer for 'Abraham's Boys: A Dracula Story,' and it looks absolutely incredible.
This is a a gothic period tale, beautifully set in 1915, that reimagines the legacy of Bram Stoker's iconic vampire hunter, Abraham Van Helsing. We see the great Titus Welliver (you know him, you love him!) step into the role of Van Helsing, who has moved his family to America in an attempt to escape his dark past.
But of course, the past always catches up. The trailer hints at a deeply unsettling narrative where his sons begin to uncover the terrifying truths behind their father's history with Dracula himself. It looks dark, atmospheric, and incredibly spooky, blending classic gothic horror with a fresh perspective on generational trauma.
Directed by Natasha Kermani (who brought us the unsettling Lucky) and based on a short story by horror maestro Joe Hill, this film has all the ingredients for a must-watch experience. The visuals are stunning, the tension is palpable, and the idea of Van Helsing's sons grappling with their inherited destiny is just fantastic.
I can definitively recommend checking out this trailer – it looks genuinely promising and has me hyped for its release!
